What is Hair Transplant?
Nowadays, one of the most common cosmetic problems is hair loss. Although it is considered to be specific to men, it is also a problem that women face from time to time. Hair transplantation is a natural and permanent solution to the thinning and baldness problem that occurs as a result of hair loss. Hair transplant surgery is carried out from the patient’s nuchal region to collect the hair bulbs that are genetically resistant to hair loss and transplanted to the channels that are opened in the areas where baldness or thinning occurs. Hair transplantation is a surgical procedure performed under local anesthesia. Therefore, it should be done in hospital environment and accompanied by anesthesiologist.
The Main Stages of Hair Transplantation
Hair transplantation operation is performed in three phases;
1. Collection of hair follicles
After the donor area has been prepared for the procedure, the hair follicles are collected individually with the FUE motor. In the meantime, it is very important that the follicles are not damaged. Each of these follicles, called grafts, contains an average of 2-3 hairs.
2. The opening of the channels
The opening of the channels at the correct size and depth according to the region of the transplanted hair affects the output rate. Hair follicle size and length should be careful to open the appropriate channel. The angle of the channel should be well adjusted to achieve the most natural appearance.
3. Planting the follicles to the opened channels
The follicles collected at the last stage are placed one by one at 40-45 degrees angles to the opened channels and the hair transplantation operation is completed.
The Most Recent Hair Transplantation Technique: FUE method
The most recent technology in hair transplantation is FUE technique, which is a micro surgical procedure performed under local anesthesia where follicles are collected with the help of micro motors. This technique is the basis for all hair transplantation methods.
The basic stages of all hair transplantation techniques are the same. Roots are taken, channels are opened and roots taken are added to these channels. The difference between the methods of hair transplantation is caused by the device used when the follicles are taken, the medical instruments used when the channels are opened, and these differences result in the different naming of the techniques of hair transplantation.
Techniques Used In Hair Transplantation
Today, the following hair transplantation methods are successfully applied. Each method is specially chosen according to the patient’s needs and demands. The common view of the doctor and patient on which method to apply is effective.
1. Robotic Hair Surgery
In this method, hair follicles are collected by the hair cultivation robot. The follicles collected after the channels are opened with the hair transplantation robot are planted manually.
2. DHI Hair Transplant
In this method, which is also called direct hair transplantation, the procedure of opening and transplanting the channels using the medical pencil named Choi is performed at the same time.
3. Sapphire FUE Hair Transplant
In this method, a special sapphire-tip pen is used instead of metal slit during the channel opening phase.
4. Normal FUE Hair Transplant
The follicles of the hair collected and separated using the micro-motor are planted to the channels opened manually.
Hair Transplant Surgery and Post-Process
The operation takes an average of 6-7 hours. During the operation, general anesthesia is not performed and the patient is not given anesthesia. Local anesthesia or sedation is applied to the patient takes the process while chatting.
Taking into account the pre-and post-transplant procedures before and after the hair transplantation operation, it will be sufficient for the patient to take 3 days. In this 3-day process;

1nd day (Transplantation)

3nd day (First Wash)

Post 3-day period
The process of hair washing continues for 8 days. You can do next washes yourself, except for the first wash. How to wash will be described in full detail. If you prefer, you can continue the washes at our hospital for 8 days. With the eighth wash, casting is completed.
10th day
At the end of the 10-day process including the transplantation + control + 8 wash, your hail will look as you have had a short cut, while redness is reduced by 80%.
